The Ramgarh district celebrated the 63rd martyrdom of Shaheed Sobran Soren, grandfather of the state Chief Minister Hemant Soren, on Friday at Lukaiyatand under Gola block. The chief minister visited the area along with other dignitaries including former Chief Minister cum Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren, while a large number of people attended the ceremony.
Ramgarh district police force.DC Sandeep Singh and Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar welcomed him with a guard of honour and presented them with flowers.
After talking with the villagers, Soren ordered that the needy should be provided with accommodation under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. On the complaint of some unemployed youth, the chief minister said that the state government is reviewing for the restoration of contract workers. Some people spoke to the Chief Minister about the problem of drinking water in the CCL, which he said would be done soon.
On the issue of appointment in the Home Guard, the Soren said that this problem persisted in some districts and it will be redressed soon.
The main event started at 2:30 pm, which was attended by a large number of people.
