Four samples tested for Covid-19 at RIMS, where testing facility started on Tuesday, were found negative. RIMS superintendent Dr Vivek Kashyap said so far 42 out of the 49 patients tested at RIMS were found negative. Seven reports which was sent on Monday are yet to arrive from MGM, Jamshedpur.

Banking hours

Banking sector in Jharkhand was on Tuesday brought under partial lockdown after the state government decided to limit the working hours. Banks will now operate from 10am to 1pm on working days and will remain effective till April 4. Customers have been asked not to visit the banks except on emergencies.

796 fined

Traffic police have imposed fine upon 796 people on Tuesday for driving during the lockdown and violating traffic rules according to the Motor Vehicles Act.

Fatal injury

Nishikant Mahto, 23, was injured as his bike skidded on Chandil-Nimdih road on Sunday. He died on Tuesday.
