Dhanbad: 26 executive magistrates to oversee Covid control measures

The move comes in view of the rising cases in both rural and urban areas of the district

In order to ensure better monitoring and supervision of the Covid control measures, Dhanbad district administration on Tuesday appointed 26 executive magistrates as incident commanders for 31 police stations and 22 police outpost areas. The incident commanders will ensure that the rules regarding containment zones and buffer zones are strictly adhered to. The move comes in view of the rising spread of Covid cases in both rural and urban areas of the district that currently has 230 active cases out of total 724 confirmed.

Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner Uma Shankar Singh, who has brought sweeping reforms in administration ever since he joined on July 15, has also appointed senior officials of the district administration as incident commanders for the different blocks of the district. They will monitor the work of the 26 incident commanders.

The newly-appointed senior incident commanders include Indu Rani, Director NEP for Govindpur block, Sandip Kumar Doraiburu ADM (supply) for Nirsa, Anil Kumar, ADM (Law and Order) for Baghmara block, A Kumar, Director, Accounts Administration for Topchanchi, Shyam Narayan Ram, Additional Collector for Baliapur, Satish Chandra, Additional Collector (land Revenue) for Tundi, Om Prakash Yadav, District Transport Officer for Egyarkund, Raj Maheshwaram, Sub Divisional Magistrate for Dhanbad, Mahesh Bhagat, District Planning Officer for Purbi Tundi, andAjit Kumar Singh, District Panchayati Raj officer for Kaliasol block.

On Monday, the district administration also deputed senior and assistant officers for the upcoming Dedicated Covid Health Centers (DCHC) including the ones in Bhuli Zonal Training Insitute (scheduled to be inaugurated on August 5), Bhuli Regional Hospital of BCCL (scheduled to be inaugurated on August 6), Nirsa Polytechnic (date yet not decided), Sadar Hospital (inaugurated on July 2) and Tata Central Hospital Jamadoba (opening date not decided).

The District Supply officer Bhogendra Thakur and Executive Officer Amar Kumar have been deputed as senior officer and assistant officer of the Sadar Hospital Dhanbad-based DCHC respectively. For BCCL Regional Hospital, Bhuli-based DCHC, District Land Acquisition officer Satish Chandra and executive magistrate Sushant Banerjee have been deputed as senior officer and assistant officer respectively. For Zonal Railway Training Institute Bhuli, Additional District Magistrate (Supply), Sandip Kumar Doraiburu and Dhanbad Circle officer, Prashant Kumar Layak have been deputed as senior officer and assistant officer respectively.

For Tata Central Hospital Jamadoba, Additional district magistrate (law and Order) Anil Kumar and executive magistrate Deepmala have been deputed as senior officer and assistant officer, while for Nirsa Polytechnic, District Planning officer Mahesh Bhagat and Executive magistrate Bandhu Kachhap have been deputed as senior officer and assistant officer.
