The protesters who were holding banners and posters bearing slogans like Bhasa me mat uljhao, rojgar kahan hai batlao; rojgar nahi to sarkar nahi;sthaniyanta ke aadhar par naukri do etc claimed that the state government has failed to provide any job to the youths but misguided them on the issue of language etc.

Addressing students, Nisani said, “The state government meticulously generated the issue of local and outsider language to divert the attention of the youth from the core issue of unemployment, lack of development etc. The language row that erupted last month has now reached every nook and corner of the state vitiating harmony."

Nisani alleged that the government came into the power in the state promising 10 lakh jobs to youth but it is now failing to fulfill its promise. Abhijeet Singh on the other hand said, “The JMM-led government is now toeing the footsteps of the previous BJP government led by Raghubar Das.”

“If it fails to mend its ways and initiate work to provide employment to the state, we will be compelled to launch a campaign to dislodge the government from power” added Singh.

“Due to the impact of pandemic and consequent lockdown, source of income has been affected and the only solution to address the issue is to generate bulk employment," he said.
