It prompts district administration to enforce strict regulations

The highest rise of 223 cases in a day on Wednesday in Dhanbad leading to the total active cases reaching in district to 768 has spurred a host of strict measure by the district administration including, ensuring cent percent sampling of all patients coming to the OPD centers all government hospitals, private hospital and clinics and medical colleges.

Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner, Sandeep Singh said, “In view of the suspected third wave to Covid it is imperative to carry out covid screening of maximum people at the earliest.”

"It is also vital to carry out covid sampling of all patients coming to the hospital for treatment or other diseases other than the suspected patients to Covid to further prevent the spread of Covid,” added Singh.

He further elaborated that the RT PCR test of all patients coming to the OPD of Sahid Nirmal Mahto Memorial Medical College and Hospital (SNMCH), All regional hospitals of BCCL and Tata Central Hospital Jamadoba will be carried out for which instruction have been given to all medical nodal officer, chief of medical superintendents, superintendent and principal of medical college.

Meanwhile in view of rise in Covid cases the district administration has also launched integrated covid control room facility from today.

Elaborating over the issue Singh said the people seeking the home facility, other information and help, coordination of law and order maintenance with regard to covid, vaccination, covid sampling, shifting of Covid patients to hospitals, containment zone demarcation, contact tracing can call on the number 0326-3550460, 0326-3550904. He further said that for seeking home isolation support people can call on the landline number 0326-7967121.

Meanwhile, Singh also instructed the officials to be involved in Covid sampling to collect all the details of the patients being screened for Covid including his name, father’s name, present address (bearing the nearest landmarks), panchayat or ward number, name of police station, mobile number of person, Aadhar Card, Voter ID or any other self attest proof of identity in order to track him and carry out contact tracing of the infected person.

He meanwhile also warned against the flouting of latest guidelines of the state government with regard to covid like closing of all shops and commercial establishments except, medical stores, restaurants, bars and petrol pumps before 8 pm.

He also instructed the official to ensure covid appropriate behavior by people in market places and other places and warned of legal action as the provision disaster management act against the rule violators.
