A day after announcing the launching of a multi-activity center for elderly persons, the Bokaro district administration today decided to hold a Parents Teachers Meeting (PTM) in all government schools of the district in order to address the issue of the learning gap among students.
The first round of the series of meetings will be held tomorrow between 10.30 am to 1.30 pm in all schools as per the direction of Bokaro Deputy Commissioner, Kuldeep Chaudhary. The meet is also aimed at ensuring the long-term stability of the schools through community health development, positive thinking, and increased stakeholding.
Renuka Tigga district superintendent of education (DSE) said, “The main aim of organizing the parents-teachers meeting is to make students self-dependent.
“It is also aimed at ascertaining the thought process of the students to understand the lacunae in their thought and providing them with the right kind of guidelines,” said Tigga.
She further said that the main aim of holding the parents-teachers meeting is ensuring community participation in schools development.
She also instructed the administration of all schools to ensure cent percent attendance of all parents in the PTM as it is aimed at discussing the academic progress of the students besides the school’s development and other related issues.
“The PTM is likely to generate new ideas for the school development through the sharing of the experience of the participating students,” further elaborated Tigga.
