BIT Sindri: Former students go back in time

The alumni claimed their institute is second to none

More than 70 former students of Jharkhand, BIT Sindri who congregated at their alma mater today, took a trip down the memory lane. The BIT Sindri Alumni Association Global Alumni Meet assured the institute administration of working religiously towards the welfare of the institute while cherishing the college days.

The alumni further claimed that their institute is second to none and they will ensure every possible means to retain the old glory of their alma mater.

The day began in the morning with the lighting of the lamp in the Deshpande Auditorium by the Director of the institute along with the distinguished alumni and others.

Delivering the welcome address, UP Shah, scretary of the association gave details of the efforts being made by the BITSAA for the all round development of the institute right from fund for the infrastructure development , besides training and internship help for the present students of the institute in their respective organisations.

He also apprised the gathering of the liasioning work being carried out by the association with eminent personalities to push for the Institute of National Importance (INI) for their alma mater which would ensure increased fund flow as well quality teaching and better placement packages and others.

Notably the BITSAA office bearers recently met, state Governor Ramesh Bais, Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto and Union Minister Arjun Munda pressing for the INI status.

Rakesh Kumar, President of BITSAA global, on the other hand recalled the golden days spent in the institute, “BIT Sindri students are brilliant and intelligent technocrats and I assure all support from the alumni in terms of ensuring better placement for the students.”

Others present also gave details of the help extended by BITSAA including the portal development by BITSAA for promotion of Research and Development activities way back in 2017 through which the students can undergo research in emerging areas under the guidance of the BIT Sindri alumni settled across the world.

Rajendra Kumar Treasurer of BIT SIndri Alumni Association presented the annual report of the association and the event concluded the with election with new office bearers of BITSAA.
