The Railway Protection Force ( RPF), which takes care of railway property, and the Government Railway Police (GRP) which looks after law and order is jointly pushing for the system to inspect the undercarriages of vehicles that arrive at the station.

He said the system will be located at the station entrance near the portico.
“This is for ensuring the safety of passengers as well as the railway station premises,” he said.
According to Singh, the system would scan the vehicle, its number plate and the driver.
