XLRI Jamshedpur, XLRI Delhi record 100 per cent placement, but see dive in average salary

XLRI Jamshedpur, the country’s oldest B school, along with XLRI Delhi NCR secured 100 per cent placements for its graduating students across its business management and human resource management (HRM) programs.

However, the average salary and highest domestic offer witnessed a slight decrease as compared to last year.

A communique issued by the seven decades old Jesuit institutions on Friday said that both XLRI Jamshedpur and XLRI Delhi NCR have secured 100 per cent placements for the graduating class of 2022-24 across two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management in business management and HRM programs with all 503 students receiving job offers in the final recruitment process completed this month.

“The placement process unfolded in two phases. Initially, the Lateral Recruitment Process catered to candidates with prior work experience, offering them positions above the entry-level. Subsequently, the Campus Recruitment Process was implemented, wherein candidates were considered without regard to their previous work experience,” the communique said.

A total of 154 recruiting entities participated, extending 519 domestic and one international offer (in the United Arab Emirates), which included 65 new recruiters.

The average salary offered to the batch stood at Rs 29.89 lakh per annum with the highest domestic offer of Rs 75 lakh per annum from the BFSI (banking financial service and insurance) sector. The average salary last year was Rs 32.7 lakh per annum while the highest domestic offer was Rs 78.2 lakh per annum from the ITES sector.
