Congress desertions: Leaders who have left the party

Of late, and to be precise in 2022, the beleaguered Congress has been jolted by stalwarts bidding adieu to the party- the latest being veteran leader Kapil Sibal who also happened to be one of the founders of the G23 group within the party which had the 'audacity' to question the high command. Sibal is now aspiring to enter Rajya Sabha as an independent backed by Samajwadi Party. But prior to Sibal, there were several others who left the party to seek greener pastures. Call it resentment, dissatisfaction or annoyance at being 'left in the lurch', these exits, may derail the journey of rejuvenation that Congress has embarked upon.
