Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday said the INDIA partners have planned to hold several joint meetings in Uttar Pradesh in the run-up to the parliamentary elections.
“All our allies would share the dais and address election rallies in all 80 seats of Uttar Pradesh. This will also be done in the 40 parliamentary seats of Bihar. We believe that Uttar Pradesh and Bihar together will dislodge the BJP from power this year,” Akhilesh claimed at a news conference here.
The SP chief said there were two sides in the upcoming elections — one that is protecting the Constitution and the other that is killing it.
“The BJP is abolishing government jobs and at the same time, they are leaking papers of competitive examinations. But they are losing votes with every incident of question paper leak. They recently leaked out more than two lakh votes. If voted to power in future, the SP will do justice to the unemployed youths,” Akhilesh, who was Uttar Pradesh chief minister from 2012 to 2017, said.
The exam paper for the recruitment of Uttar Pradesh police constables was leaked last month.
