Amarjeet is a native of Jammu and posted at Dibrugarh in Assam, while Mukesh is a native of Punjab and posted in Arunachal Pradesh. Both of them were travelling in the B11 coach of the premiere train and were under the influence of alcohol.

According to the GRP officials, the two harassed and eve-teased a group of women travelling in the same coach. The women complained to the railway authorities but had to suffer the ordeal for a few hours.

“We got a message from our Muzaffarpur control room regarding a complaint from a couple of women about molestation and harassment by two jawans of the security forces. We immediately contacted the Railway Protection Force (RPF) escort team in the running train,” GRP Chhapra station house officer Rajesh Kumar Singh told The Telegraph.

Rajesh added that the RPF escort team went to the coach and controlled the situation. They alighted with the accused at Chhapra station.

“We conducted a breath analyser test on the two jawans. The result showed that they had consumed alcohol. We also received videos of harassment and molestation attempts from the group of women. We have registered an FIR under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. They have been produced in the court and forwarded to jail,” Rajesh said.

The duo have been charged with assault and use of force on women with the intention to outrage the modesty of women.
