Delhi High Court on Friday acquitted former television anchor and producer Suhaib Ilyasi of India’s Most Wanted fame, who is serving a life term for allegedly killing his wife 18 years ago.

The high court set aside the trial court order convicting Ilyasi, 52, and ruled that there was no evidence against Ilyasi and that the prosecution had failed to establish the murder charge.

Ilyasi’s daughter Aaliya said she always had trust in her father and was happy with the high court judgment.
