Militants shot a Class XI student dead after branding him an informer, emptying an entire magazine into his body before releasing a video of Friday’s brutal execution. The Hizb-ul Mujahideen claimed responsibility for the murder.

Another teen was found dead with his throat slit on Saturday in the second murder in as many days.

The video shows Nadeem Mazoor, who was abducted on Thursday evening, sitting on the ground, his back towards the camera in near darkness. His abductors ask him why he got one of their colleagues killed and then open fire indiscriminately even before he could answer. The teen’s family said he was innocent.

Huzaif Ashraf, 19, abducted by militants from south Kashmir on Saturday, was found with his throat slit.
