Special Rs 75 coin will be launched to commemorate the inauguration of the new parliament building, the Ministry of Finance said on Thursday.

One side of the coin will have the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar, with "Satyamev Jayate" below. The word "Bharat" will be written in Devanagari script on the left side, and "India" in English on the right, reports ndtv.com.

The coin is also going to have the rupee symbol and the denomination value of 75 in international numerals written.

Other side of the coin will show image of the new parliament building.

The words 'Sansad Sankul' will be written in Devanagari script on the upper fringe and 'parliament complex' in English on the lower fringe.

It will be circular in shape with diameter of 44 millimeters. It will consist of 200 serrations along its edges. The 35-gram coin will be made from a four-part alloy.

This new Parliament building will be inaugurated by Narendra Modi on Sunday.

25 parties are expected to attend the ceremony, and 20 opposition parties have decided to boycott the event.

Aam Aadmi Party, Left, Trinamul Congress and Samajwadi Party among others, have announced their decison to boycott the inauguration as they find it undemocratic.
