Minutes after Mumbai police received a call from a taxi driver, stating that two people were inquiring about industrialist Mukesh Ambani's residence Antilia, security has been strengthened around his home.
According to NDTV, the CCTV footage of the building is being closely monitored by the cops. “We received a call from a taxi driver that two people had approached him, asking for the location of Mukesh Ambani's residence Antilia,” NDTV quoted the police. According to Mumbai police, two men, carrying a large bag, were asking for the address of Mukesh Ambani, following which the cabbie immediately called the police.
The driver's statement has been recorded by the cops and a senior officer has been deputed to monitor the investigation. Significantly, high security was provided to the country's richest man after a Scorpio laden with explosives was found a little away from his home in February, earlier this year.
Investigations revealed that the car, a stolen one, belonged to a man who had been murdered. The probe, which revealed the involvement of a police officer, is still on; while the accused officer Sachin Waze has been sacked and arrested for his alleged role in the murder of the car owner, Mansukh Hiren.
