Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday tweeted a visual showing how vaccinations had dropping after the spike on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17, and wrote: “Event khatam (over)”.

India recorded 3.6 million doses on Sunday and 8.5 million on Saturday after Friday’s record of 22.6 million doses.

The line chart uploaded by Rahul also showed the relatively low numbers of doses administered in the days preceding September 17. Less vaccines are usually administered on Sundays.
