The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of Punjab, led by chief minister Bhagwant Mann, showcased an unprecedented vision for the state's industries during the 'Sarkar-Sannatkar Milni' (Government-Industrialist Conclave) held over two consecutive days in Ludhiana and Mohali. This landmark event marked a historic shift in the approach to government-industry interactions within Punjab, setting a tone of proactive collaboration and visionary growth.

Arvind Kejriwal, AAP's National Convenor and Delhi chief minister, emphasised the need for Punjab to not just protect its industries but to actively compete with China. He hailed the remarkable increase in MSME registrations and investments, highlighting Punjab's immense potential to outshine China's industrial prowess.

"We need to decide whether we want to merely save Punjab's industry or collectively defeat China's industry. Punjab's industry can defeat China's. We want to take Punjab's industry to a level where it can surpass China," said Kejriwal.

Mann took a step further by announcing a three-year grace period for industries in Ludhiana to transition from residential areas. This gesture underscored the government's dedication to facilitating the industries' growth and ensuring a conducive environment for their operations. He encouraged the industries to envision competition with China, positioning Punjab as a dominant player in the industrial sector.

"Punjab has no competition at the local level in the industrial sector compared to other states. The state's goal is to compete with China and surpass it in the industrial sector," emphasized Mann.

The event heralded a new era of collaboration, embodying AAP's unwavering commitment to propel Punjab's industries to international competitiveness. The government's proactive and visionary approach is poised to redefine Punjab's industrial landscape, envisioning the state as a formidable competitor on the global stage.

The policies and vision presented during this conclave are set to invigorate Punjab's industries and position them as global leaders, challenging China's industrial dominance.
