Pune police on Thursday arrested Abdul Razzak Mohammad Khalid Fakih, the contractor hired by the railways to dismantle an illegal hoarding that crashed on the road below last Friday, killing four persons. Among the dead was a four-year-old child.

Fakih, 54, a resident of Koregaon, runs a company called Caption Advertising. He was arrested after the police found some inconsistencies in his statement, an officer said.

Last Saturday, the Bund Garden police had arrested Sanjaysingh Vishnudev Singh, a junior engineer with Central Railway, and Pandurang Nivrutti Vanare, a blacksmith.

All the three accused have been remanded in judicial custody.
