A Pakistani intruder was shot dead by the Border Security Force (BSF) along the international border in RS Pura sector in Jammu early on Tuesday morning.
“Alert BSF troops neutralised an intruder coming from Pakistan at the international border in RS Pura sector around 2.15am on Tuesday. The intruder crossed over to the India side and started moving towards the fence,” a BSF official said.
The BSF troops warned the intruder not to move forward but he did not pay any heed and kept moving towards the fence.
The troops later fired and neutralised the intruder and foiled the infiltration attempt, the official added. The area was cordoned off and a search operation is underway.
In another incident on Tuesday, BSF troops nabbed an intruder near the international border in Indreshwar Nagar area in Jammu when he came near the fence and tried to cross over. He was later nabbed.
