India's foreign policy seemed to have received a shot in the arm from none other than Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The former Pakistan cricket captain, has praised New Delhi's foreign policy, according to ndtv.com
Khan who faces a no-confidence motion from the Opposition said, "Main aaj Hindustan ko daad deta hun” (I praise our neighbouring country Hindustan) as they always had independent foreign policy. Today, India is in their (America) alliance and they are part of QUAD (Quadrilateral Security Dialogue); they say that are neutral. They are importing oil from Russia despite sanctions because their policy is for the betterment of people. He made the comments at a rally in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Khan was in Moscow on the very day Russia launched an onslaught on Ukraine and his country stayed away from taking a critical view of the Russian invasion.
Khan's confidantes say the no-confidence motion is a ploy on the part of global powers to oust his government.
Khan has drawn flak from his opponents on grounds of poor governance, poor economy and others.
However, the all-powerful Army has maintained that it will stay neutral to which Khan reacted by stating humans take sides and "only animals are neutral".
