In line with chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s vision, Chhattisgarh is on the brink of becoming a state that offers global standards in healthcare services, including organ transplants and bypass heart surgeries.

According to health minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, super-speciality healthcare facilities are being developed across the state, starting with the introduction of liver and kidney transplant services at the DKS Hospital in Raipur. He stated that a state-of-the-art ICU has already been established at DKS, and Rs 6 crore has been approved for the procurement of liver and kidney transplant equipment. He further mentioned that this facility would benefit not only the patients from the capital but also those from neighbouring states. Additionally, he disclosed plans to establish advanced model hospitals in six districts of the state, which will offer super-speciality services.

IVF centre may be established at Ambedkar Hospital

The health minister indicated that there are considerations to set up an IVF centre at Ambedkar Hospital. The pending DPR (Detailed Project Report) for this initiative is expected to be completed soon. He also mentioned plans for constructing a modern post-mortem facility at Ambedkar Hospital, equipped with the latest devices and staffed with specialised personnel.

New Virtual Machine for post-mortem at Ambedkar Hospital

Minister Jaiswal announced that a new virtual machine for post-mortem procedures is being installed at the Ambedkar Hospital. This machine will feature the most advanced technology in the country, significantly expediting the process of post-mortem. This new facility is expected to be highly beneficial for the residents of the capital.

Expansion of services in hospitals

Jaiswal also emphasised that the number of new services in government hospitals will be increased. This expansion will include telemedicine services, the use of advanced medical equipment, and the availability of specialist doctors, ensuring that all citizens of the state receive cutting-edge and high-quality healthcare services.
