Odisha vigilance on Monday raided the house of an assistant executive engineer of roads and building division and seized properties worth crores of rupees.
Assessment of the seized properties is still going on. The properties include imported motorcycles, including Harley-Davidson and Ducati, plots, cars and multi-storeyed buildings, the vigilance in a press release said.
The vigilance conducted raids at the house of Ajay Kumar Mishra getting a tip off about the huge properties amassed by him.
In a press release, the vigilance department said it has so far unearthed “three multi storeyed buildings and seven plots worth crores in the name of Mishra and his family members. During the search operation, it has unearthed six two wheelers including three costly imported bikes (two of Harley Davidson and one of Ducati).”
The plots and multi-storeyed buildings are located in the prime areas of Bhubaneswar city, his native district Dhenkanal. The vigilance has so far only seized Rs 84,500 cash.
