The Odisha government has signed MoUs with Nasscom (National Association of Software and Service Companies) and Infosys to build a digital workforce in the state.
According to the MoU with Nasscom, eight lakh students will be skilled through its Future Skills Prime.
The MoU aims to skill the students and existing faculty in key technologies essential in today’s digital ecosystem.
“A joint initiative by Nasscom & MeitY (ministry of electronics and information technology), Future Skills Prime is India’s technology skilling hub democratising learning and offers — students and professionals — a chance to skill, upskill and reskill to grow in their careers,” a release said.
The collaboration aims to build technical capacity in all streams with digital fluency and industry-curated content. This offers a wholesome career-building programme to students to be industry-recognised Nasscom-certified professionals.
The focus of this partnership is to integrate emerging technology programmes through NSQF(National Skills Qualifications Framework) and NOS(National Overseas Scholarship)-aligned curriculum to build a future talent pool.
As part of Infosys’ corporate social responsibility, Infosys Springboard provides a completely free curriculum-rich virtual platform that delivers corporate-grade learning experiences, on any device, with closer educator-learner collaboration for students from Class VI to lifelong learners.
It provides a holistic set of courses, developed in collaboration with world-leading digital educators such as Coursera, Skillsoft, Techademy, Knolskape and Harvard Business Publishing.
