Odisha govt gives compulsory retirement to five corrupt officials

All of them were earlier arrested by the vigilance on corruption charges

The Odisha government on Tuesday gave compulsory retirement to five corrupt officials, including an engineer and a police inspector.

The officials given the marching orders included an assistant engineer of Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Baripada in Mayurbhanj district; community development project officer (CDPO), Balikuda in Jagatsinghpur district; anganwadi supervisor, Balikuda; inspector, Police Training College, Angul and revenue supervisor, Keonjhar Sadar Tahsildar office in Keonjhar district

All of them were earlier arrested by the vigilance on corruption charges. So far, 146 corrupt government officials have been given compulsory retirement.
