Odisha Congress workers are geared up for Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra which enters the state through Sundergarh district on February 6.

Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Sarat Pattanayak said Rahul will reach Biramitrapur in Sundergarh district on February 6 and be accorded a rousing reception there by party workers.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will pass through two districts — Sundargarh and Jharsuguda. “We will soon announce a detailed programme,” said Pattanayak.

OPCC plans to organise a roadshow in Rourkela, the steel city of Odisha. The Gandhi scion is scheduled to have a night halt at Jharsuguda on February 7 and the next morning, he will lead the Yatra to Belpahar, Hrudaynagar, before entering Chhattisgarh.

Ahead of Rahul’s visit to the state, All India Congress Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge visited Bhubaneswar on January 29 and addressed the Odisha Bachao Samavesh.

He had also interacted with party leaders in the state about Rahul’s Bharat Joda Naya Yatra, Coming close on the heels of his visit, Rahul's Nyaya Yatra is expected to boost the morale of the party leaders and workers in Odisha ahead of the elections.
