Odisha: Border Security Force unearths two Maoist dumps strategically hidden in forest

The Border Security Force (BSF) conducted an anti-Maoist operation on Thursday in the Bejangiwada Reserve Forest area near the Allurkota village along the Sileru river in Malkangiri district in Odisha and unearthed two Maoist dumps strategically hidden in the forest.

The recovered items by the 142 Bn BSF include improvised grenades, hand grenades, electric detonator, tubular battery iron plates, lathe machine and welding machine, 2-inch Mortar Base and 2 Inch mortar bomb tail, Maoist literature, gelatin sticks, safety fuse and other Maoist-related paraphernalia.

“The diligent efforts of the BSF troops have not only thwarted potential threats but have also dealt a severe blow to the Maoists’ infrastructure,” said a BSF press release.
