NTPC offers ophthalmic care to Odisha residents

The NTPC has collaborated with LV Prasad Eye Institute, Bhubaneswar, to offer state-of-the-art ophthalmic care to the residents of Odisha under its strategic Corporate Social Responsibilities initiatives.

MSD Bhattamishra, executive director (HR) NTPC, inaugurated a new facility the “NTPC Operating Room Complex” at LVPEI — a renowned brand in eye care — Mithu Tulsi Chanrai Campus at Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

Delivering a speech on the occasion, Bhattamishra said, “NTPC is committed to the development of Odisha. The state required augmentation in its health infrastructure, especially in eye care, in the form of a dedicated hospital with specialised and affordable facilities.

NTPC was glad to collaborate with LVPEI, which is a renowned brand in eye care, to offer state-of-the-art ophthalmic care to the residents of Odisha under its strategic CSR initiatives. “Adhering to its focus area and complying with the thematic area of health as mandated by the Govt. of India, NTPC has supported the construction of the state-of-the-art NTPC Operating Complex on the LVPEI campus, which is equipped with eight modular operation rooms catering to all ophthalmology specialisations,” a release said.

Dr Srikant Kumar Sahu, head, LVPEI’s Mithu Tulsi Chanrai Campus, Bhubaneswar, said the support provided by NTPC will go a long way towards impacting the lives of many more patients, not only in Odisha but also in the neighbouring states.
