The Supreme Court on Monday sought the response of the CBI, the Telangana government and Bhel for an independent probe into the alleged suicide of a woman finance officer working at the PSU in Hyderabad because of alleged sexual harassment.

The notices were issued by a bench headed by Justice A.M. Khanwilkar on the plea made by the victim’s mother, which urged it to transfer the criminal investigation to the CBI as the family had no faith in Telangana police or Bhel.
