Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar will chair a meeting of “all prominent Opposition parties” from different parts of the country on June 12 in Patna to carry forward the efforts to build a broad-based unity against the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
“Bihar has set a successful example of the Grand Alliance against the BJP and wants it to be replicated at the national level to save the country. All non-BJP Opposition parties feel and understand the need for it. Our leader Nitish Kumar has convened a meeting on June 12 here to discuss such a unity,” Janata Dal United (JDU)chief spokesperson and MLC Neeraj Kumar told The Telegraph.
“The Congress and all prominent Opposition parties are being invited to the meeting. Nitish, who is the voice of the Opposition, will leave no stone unturned to ensure unity against the BJP, which is his sole wish,” Neeraj added.
