The high-level study mission from Nepal, comprising officials and research scholars, has applauded the successful implementation of food security provisions in Odisha after looking into the details of the state’s planning, implementation and monitoring of the food security programmes.

The mission from Nepal consisted of 10 members under the leadership of Dr Dil Bahadur Gurung, member of the National Planning Commission of Nepal.

During an interaction with the Nepal team on Monday, the Odisha government presented a case study on the state’s journey towards food security during the last two decades, from being a rice importing and dependent state to a rice-surplus state.
