Odisha has taken a big leap in implementing artificial intelligence as chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday launched two programmes — Odisha for Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence for Youth — at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.

The state electronics and information technology (IT) department and Intel India have made a collaboration to implement the programmes. At first, the programmes will be implemented in Bhubaneswar, Puri and Cuttack and later, they will be implemented all across the state.

It will be open to all for free in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri and subsequently, it will be made available to all across the state. Artificial Intelligence for Youth is a programme meant for students below 18 years of age. It will be free for students of 2,000 schools which have been transformed under the 5-T (teamwork, technology, transparency, transformation and time limit) programme and also in the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (model schools).

Naveen said artificial intelligence holds incredible potential to reshape our world and drive progress.
