The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday conducted searches at seven locations as part of its investigation into the terror attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district on June 9.
Officials said multiple teams from the agency raided several locations linked to hybrid terrorists and overground workers (OGWs) of terror groups in Rajouri and Reasi districts.
Nine persons were killed and dozens injured when terrorists opened fire at the bus returning from the Shiv Khori shrine on June 9.
The home ministry had transferred the case to the NIA.
“Incriminating material indicating links between the terrorists and OGWs was seized during the searches and the same is under scrutiny,” the NIA said in a statement on Friday.
The locations searched by the agency were residential premises of hybrid terrorists and overground workers as well as the surrounding forest.
“Investigations have revealed that these terrorists were supported by one of the arrested accused, Hakam Khan, who provided them with shelter and food,” the agency said.
The OGWs whose premises were searched were also involved in providing food, shelter and other logistics support to the terrorists crossing the area, which is one of the transit routes to Kashmir, the NIA said.
