The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) has condoled the death of Vishwa Bandhu Gupta, who was the chairman and editor-in-chief of the Tej-Bandhu group.
Vishwa Bandhu Gupta, a former member of Parliament and known as the Balloon Man, passed away on June 1. He was 93.
Shailesh Gupta, the president of the INS, said Vishwa Bandhu Gupta was a former INS President and the Society had immensely benefited from his vision and leadership during his tenure. His passing away is an irreparable loss to the entire print media industry, Shailesh Gupta added.
Shailesh Gupta conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the family members and prayed that the Almighty grant them strength and courage to bear the irreparable loss, the INS said in a statement.
