Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde has been annouonced as the chief of Shiv Sena at a key meeting of his party.

This development happened soon after the Election Commission recognised the Shinde faction as the real Shiv Sena following a prolonged tussle with the Uddhav Thackeray faction.
