BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur fears that the Opposition is using a special 'killing power' to harm ruling party leaders and that was the reason behind the deaths of Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley.
'While I was contesting the (Lok Sabha) elections, a Maharaj ji told me that bad times are upon us, and the Opposition is up to something using some marak shakti against the BJP. I later forgot what he had said, but now when I see our top leaders leaving us one by one, I am forced to think, wasn't Maharaj ji right?' the Bhopal BJP MP said.
BJP veteran leader Arun Jaitley died on August 24 and Swaraj on August 6.
Both Jaitley and Swaraj had been ailing. Jaitley had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he wanted to stay out of any ministerial responsibility to regain his health.
Earlier, Pragya had said that the then Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare was killed in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks because of her 'curse'.
Pragya, who calls herself a sadhvi, was addressing a condolence meeting at the Madhya Pradesh BJP office today to pay tributes to Jaitley and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Babulal Gaur, who died on August 20.
'It is true that we are losing our leaders untimely,' the BJP MP said.
She, however, refused to speak on this matter when reporters asked about her remarks.
Pragya was issued a showcause notice by the BJP ahead of the elections for calling Mahatma Gandhi's assassin Nathuram Godse a patriot.
