KIIT to provide free employment, education to triple-train accident victims’ kin

The train accident in Bahanaga of Balasore district on June 2 claimed 275 lives and 39 of them were from Odisha

The KIIT Deemed-to-be-University in Odisha has decided to provide employment to one family member of each deceased from the state in the Balasore rail tragedy and also free education to the victims’ children.

Announcing this here on Wednesday, KIIT & KISS founder Achyuta Samanta said: “We can’t reduce the sorrow of the family members of those who died in the train accident, but we will try our best to support them. We will try to support the victims’ families by offering a job to one member from each family at KIIT and KISS according to their eligibility and provide free education to their kids at KIIT and KISS. We will inform them how to apply for the job and for free education.”

The train accident in Bahanaga of Balasore district on June 2 claimed 275 lives and 39 of them were from Odisha. “We praise the effort of the local people for their immediate response in saving the lives of the people. The effort of the Odisha government saved the lives of thousands of people in the accident. KIIT & KISS pray for the departed souls and convey sympathies to the family members. This support will provide assistance to the families of the victims and ensure a bright future for their children,” Samanta said.
