KIIT (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology) Polytechnic has been ranked as the best polytechnic in Odisha among all the state and private-run polytechnics by the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET), a constituent Board of Quality Council of India (QCI).
Odisha skill development and technical education minister Pritiranjan Gharia on Tuesday released the ranks of the polytechnics in the state.
This is the first time that the rankings of the polytechnics in Odisha were carried out. “The ranking of polytechnics has been done by the SD and TE department to ensure the quality of diploma level education in polytechnics in the state,” said the minister.
KIIT Founder Dr Achyuta Samanta lauded the efforts of KIIT Polytechnic saying the ranking was a big achievement. He especially extended his greetings to the students for their success.
This year, about 40 recruiters visited KIIT polytechnic and offered 260 placements to the final year students at salaries ranging from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh per annum.
