Three soldiers were killed and five injured in separate incidents during shelling by Pakistan along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian troops gave a “befitting” response, a defence spokesperson said.

The shelling, which had picked up after the flare-up on the Line of Actual Control with China, has intensified in the past two days, sources said.
