A total of 26 students from Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) have been selected to work as lecturers in various autonomous colleges of Odisha.
They have cleared the examination conducted by the State Selection Board (SSB). They have also received their offer letters for a lectureship through the SSB.
The successful students met the founder of KIIT and KISS, Achyuta Samanta, on Saturday. Samanta congratulated all the students and felicitated them for their success.
The selected students will teach subjects such as Odia, history, commerce, education, economics, philosophy and mathematics in various autonomous colleges of Odisha. These successful students also include many from Primitive Tribal Groups (PTGs).
“It can be noted that due to qualitative education and a pedagogic environment, every year hundreds of students from KISS University are getting employment opportunities both in the government and private sectors. This year also the KISS alumni are getting placed as doctors, engineers, civil judges, Odisha administrative service officers, forest rangers, bank officers, and police personnel,” said a media release issued by KISS.
Samanta expressed his happiness over the success of the KISS alumni and said that it was possible because of the quality of education and training at KISS University.
