Teachers in state-owned primary schools have decided to wear slippers to schools on Saturday to protest against the alleged statement made by the state project director of Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) Aditya Ranjan in a purported video threatening to beat teachers with slippers.

“This would be done to show our protest against the state project director of JEPC’s statement in a video which has gone viral threatening to beat teachers who come to schools wearing slippers with the same slippers. The statement was made during a workshop in Ranchi a few days ago,” alleged the Sangh spokesperson Nasim Ahmad.

The purported video shared by the teachers shows a person resembling Ranjan threatening teachers who come to schools wearing slippers that they would be beaten with the same slippers.

When contacted, Ranjan, a 2014 batch IAS, alleged that it was a morphed, edited video.
