The Jharkhand government has successfully concluded a much-touted public outreach programme for doorstep delivery of select welfare schemes which is to be followed by chief minister Hemant Soren conducting a review of development projects in districts.

The stae government's "Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar" campaign concluded on Thursday, December 8.

Hemant will visit various districts to take stock of the situation. He is also set to make surprise visits to department offices in districts and will also distribute blankets to the poor.

While reviewing development projects at the distinct level, the chief minister is set to take cognizance of model schools, school of excellence as well as government schools. Hemant will also visit hospitals, health centres, Anganwadi centres, hostels and take cognizance of the conditions of bridges and roades, drinking water supply, irrigation facilities, Public Distribution System( PDS) shops and other basic amenities available to the common people.

Secretaries of concenred departments, higher officials and district level office-bearers will accompany him during his visits to districts.

He will take a look at the progress of focussed welfare schemes like Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana, Pashudhan Vikas Yojana, Chief Minister's Employment Generation Scheme (CMEGP), Sarvajan Pension Yojana, MGNREGA, Krishi Rin Mafi Yojana, Scholarship, Tourism, Sports besides others.

The Chief Minister has also asked all the officials to link the maximum number of people to welfare schemes and also educate them about their rights.

Sahil Soren, a 16-year-old tribal resident of Mirzadih Central tola of Jamshedpur, raised concerns about the problems faced by the people of his village. The benfits of many social schemes were not raching villagers, he said.

Soren also complained to the Deputy Commissioner, Vijaya Jadhav. Block authorities, including Jadhav, reached the village to take cognizance of the problems. They also inquired about the health facilities available to villagers.

National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) job cards have been issued for those who did not have it. Health camps were set up for the people, officials have said.

A construction of a 1.2 km road has also been started.
