Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held in five phases from November 30 to December 20, the Election Commission said on Friday.
The counting of votes will take place on December 23, chief election commissioner Sunil Arora said at a press conference in New Delhi.
Model Conduct of Conduct is in force in Jharkhand, Arora added.
While the first phase of the polls will take place November 30 in which 13 constituencies will vote, the second phase in which 20 constituencies will go to polls will take place December 7.
Seventeen constituencies will vote on December 12 in the third phase.
The polling for the fourth phase, which will have 15 constituencies voting, will be held December 16.
The last phase where 16 constituencies will go for polls will take place on December 20.
Jharkhand has an 81-member Assembly. The current Assembly expires on January 5, 2020.
