On Tuesday, the National Investigating Agency (NIA) has condicted multiple raids in Jammu and Kashmir in a terror funding case.
The anti-terror agency conducted their search operation in 8 districts of Jammu and Kashmir namely, Poonch, Rajouri, Pulwama, Jammu, Srinagar, Budgam, Bandipora and Shopian, as per media reports.
The agency is probing the terror funding to Jamaat-e-Islami and as per NIA sources, the terror funding case is linked to Al-Huda Educational Trust, located in the Rajouri district of J&K. Jamaat-e-Islami was deemed to be 'unlawful' under UA(P)A act in 2019.
The raids were carried out due to suspicuos funding pattern of the Al-Huda Educational Trust which is directly linked to the 'unlawful' Jamaat-e-Islami. NIA carried out their operation in coordantion with the J&K police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
