The Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, faculty of medicine of Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA), has received an accreditation from National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH).
The prestigious accreditation, which came into force with effect from May 13, 2021 will continue for four years.
NABH is a constituent board of the Quality Council of India.
IMS and SUM Hospital, a private medical facility located in Bhubaneshwar, has received NABH accreditation for the second time.
The Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital is one of the top rated medical schools in Odisha and in India, with its own multispeciality hospital that has nearly 2,000 beds.
The institute gained permission in 2007 from the Medical Council of India to start the MBBS courses in the medical stream. It offers 38 courses as of now.
