Security personnel nearby noticed the student immediately after the fall due to the sound. They allotted the administration and took her to the institute’s medical centre. The doctor pronounced the student dead. The police were informed immediately and the case is under investigation.”

Sources said Kirtika jumped off through the window which is used for ventilation purposes. She left her bag and slippers before taking the drastic step of jumping from the building.

The parents have reached here from Delhi. Police started the investigation. All were baffled as to why she had taken such an extreme step.

A source said she was unwell. She had visited her house recently and after returning from home, joined the classes.
