A severe hailstorm lashed several districts of Bihar on Wednesday evening spreading a six-inch-thick layer over vast stretches making them look like Kashmir or Shimla in winter. The diameter of the hailstones was from two millimetres to eight millimetres and came as a part of sleet that continued for around 15 to 30 minutes. However, the agriculture scientists were worried about the harm that would have been caused to potato and gram crops. Nawada district pictures on above and right.
