At least four persons were killed and two seriously injured during an argument over parking a car that turned violent in Bihar’s Aurangabad district on Monday.

Police officers said that three persons were lynched by a mob after they allegedly shot dead a local villager at Tetaria Mor in the district along the Bihar-Jharkhand border.

Four persons from Hyder Nagar in Palamu district of Jharkhand were travelling in a car to visit Sasaram in Rohtas district. They parked the vehicle in front of a shop
at Tetaria Mor in the Navinagar police station area, following which an argument
broke out between the shopkeeper and the occupants of the car.

“One person sitting in the car whipped out a pistol and fired at the shopkeeper. The bullet missed him but hit a person sitting next to him. This infuriated the onlookers, who attacked the occupants of the vehicle,” Aurangabad Sadar sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Mohammad Amanullah Khan told The Telegraph.

“Three occupants of the car were beaten to death by the villagers. Two other persons have been seriously injured and admitted to a hospital for treatment. The person hit by the bullet died while being taken to the hospital,” Khan said.

Nobody has been arrested so far. The police have started an investigation.
