A fire broke out at the Convergence Block of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi on Wednesday night.
According to the fire department, a call about the fire was received at around 10.30 pm after which 22 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. No injury has been reported so far in the fire that broke out on the ninth floor of the hospital's Convergence Block, they said.
The site of the fire does not house patients and mostly houses laboratories and the examination section.
It is a diagnostic building with multipurpose labs, examination section as well as an in-built auditorium with AIIMS SET Facility.
Fire-fighting operations are underway and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, the officials said.
The cause of the fire is not known and the extent of damage has not been ascertained so far.
