The Giridih district administration lodged an FIR against AIMIM candidate Abdul Mobin Rizvi and party spokesperson Muzaffar Hasan Noorani on Thursday for alleged violation of the model code of conduct and disturbing communal harmony ahead of the by-elections in Jharkhand's Dumri Assembly seat scheduled on September 5.

“The permission had been granted to party applicant Muzaffar Hasan Noorani (son of party candidate for Dumri by-poll Abdul Mobin Rizvi) for a period between 11am and 5pm on Wednesday. But during scrutiny of a video being circulated on social media, it is evident that ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans were raised during the rally which in the first instance is a violation of model code of conduct. In addition the slogans are an attempt to disturb communal harmony,” the FIR states.
